Week 4: Evil Me

After we learned about mind mapping,
lecturer assigned us to draw a logical mind map that shows our dark side.


I tried to make use of the typo and make them blend into "Evil Me". I think it worked out somehow. Haha. This is the mind mapping of the evil me. I'm a lazy dude and the lazyness can be sense in this blog i think.

Mind Mappin'

In this week's lecture, we learnt mind mapping which we had done a lot in alpha year. I'm scared of mind mapping because i need to draw a lot. Anyway, let's define what is mind mapping first.

Mind Thinking of our brain.
Mapping Process of creating a presentation that leads the eyes to explore information on the paper.
Mind Mapping To present how our ideation expands and evolve on the paper or any form of visual presentation.

We were taught something new to mind mapping. There are 2 types of mind mapping that are Logical Mind Map & Associated Mind Map.

Logical Mind Map:

• concise way of listing & categorizing mass info.
• usage of images along words create interest
• relationship between words help trigger memories & reduce amount of note.

Rules of Logical Mind Mapping

• always have subject in the center of the page.
• more dominant than rest of words.
• different categories, colors, make it easier identify
• decide main categories

Our creative lecturer brought a Mortal & Pestle to class and desribe how a creative mind map can be. And we learn a lot through this interesting lesson.

This week's in class exercise was about drawing our friends by asking them a series of questions. Below are the questions that I had ask Katharine Ting and the sketched avatar based on the questions.

1) How old are you? -20
2) How long do you sleep? -if can sleep 9 hours will enuf
3) Do you like to take cold bath in the morning? -no! too cold!
4) If you are to choose between to become a zombie with all others zombie or just the 3 sole survivors left? -zombie~
5) You like Coke with Ginger or Ginger soda with Pepsi? -i hate both!
6) What you like to do when you are sick? -sleep ,eat , sleep~
7) What is your favourite food? -all~ prefer fast food and chinese food~
8) You want to be a she-male or a he-female? -wat is she male he female?
9)What would you do if you are lost and have only your camera? -huh? eat camera?
10) Who are you? -katharine desu~



What I can think of drawing her is an eating machine... She's favourite food is anything else and she even eats camera... It's an old machine because she's already 20.. She just eat and sleeps so she had only a single on/off button to indicate she's eating or sleeping... I think applied all the answers of hers into the avatar. Stay tuned for more next time~ heh

What is Creativity?

What is creativity?

"Creativity (or "creativeness") is a mental process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the creative mind between existing ideas or concepts."

From my research, there are more than one definition about creativity. Such as:

"Being creative is seeing the same thing as everybody else but thinking of something different"

“Creativity is divergent thought for imagining things and several solutions."
(http://www.mind-graph.net/foundations/psychological/creativity.htm)

For example, Gutenberg took the wine press and the die/punch and produced a printing press.
He used existing objects and combine them into to a brand new things for new purpose.

From here we can know that creativity is the ability to generate new ideas and solutions to solve problems.
